Finger-Painting
Description: For this activity we traced our hand on a white piece of construction paper. We then colored in our hand with a brown crayon. After coloring in our hand, we drew piles on the bottom of the paper for the leaf bushes. After coloring in our hand, we used paint for our finger prints for the leaves. The colors we used were red, yellow, and orange. To get orange we mixed the two colors of red and yellow. After completing the top of the tree, we finger painted leaves falling onto the ground!
Extension Activity: An extension activity for this, would be taking students outside to collect their own leaves! Students could then add the leaves to their painting by pressing or stamping the leaves to create and see textures that reflect the real world.
