The Dot

Description: International dot day is a day where students' get to create their own type of dot. Dot day is based on the book  The Dot by Peter Reynolds. In this activity we got to create our own dot using coffee filters, water color paints, oil based crayons, regular crayons, sharpies, and tin foil. We were allowed to create and design our coffee filter however we wanted!

Extension Activity: Students would create their own dot out of recycled materials. Students would then have to write about the one time they had tried something new! I then would hang their artwork up in the room.
