Monster-Drawing

Description: For this activity we wrote out four characteristics to describe a monster. We then passed our four characteristics to the person next to us. On a white piece of construction paper we drew our monster based off the four characteristics our classmate came up with. We could chose the mood of our monster as well. I chose my monster to be happy so I colored it yellow. For our monster we had to outline it black.  We also had to use three different elements. I added construction paper to the top of my monsters hat, colored with crayon, and outlined my monster with black sharpie. After, completing the drawing we had to come up with a name for our monster along with writing a story telling paragraph about our monster.

Extension Activity: An extension activity would be having students create homes or habitats for their monster. They can draw the environment where their monster would live using different types of materials including objects, fabric, and construction paper.
